A week of fun classes in a non residential Summer Dance school. As the name implies we are bringing the best of dance to rural Sussex. There will be workshops led by major dance companies and classes taught by more local, but equally professional guest teachers.
The workshops are designed and cater for all standards, from beginners to the more experienced dancer. You can do the whole week which has a full and exciting timetable of dance related subjects., one day or a single session.
For the very young there are morning sessions morning sessions, while the older age groups have full days. Running alongside are classes for adults from beginners to experienced dancers.
When the children are not dancing all groups will have creative sessions such as how to make such things as props and headresses for their dances. Creating and learning about the wider aspects of dance are all part of having fun! We have a great team of guest teachers who are fully qualified, experienced and professional in their field.
The day is fully supervised including the lunch break.
This is a fantastic week of fun for everyone, and there will be the opportunities to show off your new found skills to parents, grandparents and friends.. As the Summer Dance week is a funded part of Horsham’s Year of Culture we can offer it at a reduced rate making it excellent value for money especially if you book for the whole week. The course is open to any child who enjoys dancing, but to get the most out of it you need to be grade 3 or above for the 12 – 16 year old classes. If in doubt please ask.
Below is a example of the type of activities done in the week.
